An exciting new contemporary landscape artist we’re welcoming to her chosen genre fold right now is one Elaine Mather, whose already celebrated compositional pieces are causing quite a stir in modern art circles. An artist who fully appreciates the integral part nature plays in our existence, Mather once said; “It’s (nature) the most beautiful thing in the world, yet we are so quick to destroy it. The vibrant colours I use in my trees make them much less likely to be passed over or ignored.”

Following on from this, Mather also concurs; “What I get from painting is the chance to look at the world around me; be aware of the turning of the seasons and notice the incredible colours of nature. With landscapes I feel it is not so much an idea, but an ability to compliment what is already there.” And doesn’t she graphically underline this mantra when presenting such stunning hand-signed limited editions like this titular example. With a narrative waiting to be injected by individual viewers far and wide, this 24” x 24” study pretty much visually sums up precisely what Mather waxes lyrical about when afforded an audience, and moreover what makes her a definite one to watch going forward.
