Historically deceptive from a spatial perspective, the Tardis-like MG Midget has habitually led us to questioning our own eyes, given its often overblown payload, yet on this purely fictitious (yet overly artistic) occasion the jury is out again as we cast our admiring glances over a classic car of yore rammed full of all manner of creature and emotional comfort from the uber three-dimensional outset. ‘In the Fast Lane’ is another welcomed celebration of togetherness from one of the UK’s most collected and admired contemporary sculpture artisans, namely Doug Hyde.

Released this Summer 2015 as part of the award winning practitioner’s ‘Friends Reunited’ collection, this 12” x 7” ceramic sculpture treats us to a playful seasonal scene which effortlessy captures a gaggle of friends furry and not-so, en route to eternal happiness.
