There’s very little (ie, nothing) to dislike about a typical Danielle O’Connor Akiyama pictorial piece, as her fluid, Impressionistic look and feel compositional craftworks are historically emotional uplifting visions. The importance of every brushstroke etched into each individual piece – although her technical approach hardly surprising given her study of Japanese brush painting style, Sumi-e. Her distinctive fusion of eastern and western artistry has led to O’Connor Akiyama’s works being highly prized by art collectors far and wide, and in ‘Journey III’ there’s no visual signs of that global appreciation changing any time soon.
