Much celebrated contemporary landscape artist, Lawrence Coulson admits that he’s continually got his eyes peeled for additional ‘furniture’ for his hallmark pieces, suggesting an almost Magpie-like instinct for shiny elements which will catch the light and subsequently afford the study a different perspective. Not so much furniture spotted in his brand new Spring 2014 reveal seen here, but a myriad of natural lighting effects, courtesy of the brightest of moons.
‘Until Forever’ is untypically Coulson illustrative territory in as much as it’s a moonlight-exposed graphic serenade to the coastline below, and which nocturnally or otherwise pictorially shapes the hugely popular fine artist’s default paintings. Packaged in this visual event as an artist-signed, mounted giclee study, it’s also limited to just 150 editions.
