David Farren

David Farren was born in Wiltshire in 1972 and studied art in Bristol. He works from his home studio based in Lancashire when he is not on location, painting. David Farrens work captures the vibrance, individuality and ambience of European and American cities. He is facinated by the effects of light on a scene and the changing seasons.

He manages to reflect this through his distinctive use of colour and his expressive brushwork is reflective of the movement and energy of the urban landscape. He uses acrylic and oils as his medium to achieve his high impact and direct style of painting. His paintings are housed in collections over Europe and America and he has exhibited widely across the UK with great success.
