Up the grey stone steps to the promenade the viewer goes. At the top of the steps
he is met by a row of brightly coloured terraced houses. To the left is a mint green
cottage representing the slimy seaweed found on the beach below. To the right there
is a deep blue sea cottage with a red and white stripy life boy fixed to the wall in case
anyone runs into difficulties. Finally, in the centre, towering over the other two is a
bright orange fisherman’s cottage, as bright as the sun shining down on the sand and
sea at the bottom of the steps.
